The Raxis System, sometimes called "Pirates' Haven," is a solar system with three planets. It is best known as the home system of the Morningstar Pirates.

HistoryEdit

The Raxis System was colonized after the Solar War in 2920 AD. For over 500 years, the system's three planets were much like Earth, rich in resources and fertile land. However, in 3426 AD, an unexplained phenomenon caused the Raxis Star to erupt, sending out a massive solar flare. Through pure coincidence, the three planets were in alignment with the flare, and each one was hit. The flare ripped a chunk of Raxis Prime into space, creating the superheated Raxis Fields. Raxis Beta and Raxis Gamma were similarly affected. All three planets were dying or dead after the incident.

Since then, the inhabitants of the system have mined the superheated asteroids for mineral-rich Raxan Fuel, which has become a sort of commodity for the Morningstar Pirates.

Raxis Prime

Homeworld of the Morningstar Pirates, the planet itself is not inhabited, however there are numerous Pirate Bases within her superheated asteroid fields. It is rumored by pilots and traders throughout the galaxy that the Pirates sometimes like to use the asteroids to make intruders meet a quick end. This has caused some careless and heavily destructive chain reaction explosions within the fields, however. (This is the only planet in the Raxis System planned to be featured in Earth-Link: Chronicles.)

Raxis Beta

This planet has very few surface bases. It is not heavily defended as it is a dead planet stripped of resources.

Raxis Gamma

This planet, despite being stricken by the solar flare, still has large-scale planetary bases on the surface and many traders actually use this place as a sort of refuge, that is, until the pirates hunt then down.
